Mapping the Past
NOTE; I exported this in Godot 4.1 and web exports from this version of Godot seem to have issues on Mac. Sorry for any issues!
- This game is dedicated to my grandparents, in admiration.
A short walking simulator made for Kenney Jam. The theme was exploration. First, the Kenney Cartography asset pack caught my eye: https://kenney.nl/assets/cartography-pack
I began to think about what could be done in the short time span I had (less than 1 day of the two offered).
I then decided I would try to make a game where you walk around a map, and as you walked around, details of the map would be revealed to you. I then was spending time with family, and was inspired by my grandparents telling stories about their experiences. I took some of the more interesting stories I've heard from them over the years and tried to represent them here.
Thanks for playing!
